Private Industry Council Test Prep class

Does the thought of taking the Operating Engineers Local 66 Selection Test stress you out? If so, give the Private Industry Council a call at 724-836-2600. They can help ease your anxiety with a free test prep class.

Math Test Prep Class – CCAC

Community College of Allegheny County offers a test prep class at the following campuses: West Hills Center Campus, Homewood Brushton Campus, Allegheny Campus.

This course will help those who desire a career in the construction/building trades (as an electrician, carpenter, plumber, steamfitter, sheet metal worker, iron worker, heavy equipment operator, etc.) prepare to solve math problems found on apprenticeship entrance exams. Course topics include reading a ruler (16th, 8th and quarter inch); adding and subtracting fractions; converting fractions to decimals, and decimals to fractions; and converting between the various increments of inches, feet, yards and special relationships. Test-taking strategies and interviewing skills will also be discussed. Students will become familiar with exam formats through mock tests. Contact CCAC for class availability.
